Who do I see?
At Bryngwyn Surgery, we aim to provide safe, timely, and person-centred care. We offer a range of appointment types to suit your needs, and wherever possible, we support ongoing relationships between patients and their preferred clinician.
This approach helps us ensure you receive the right care, at the right time, from the right person.
We offer a blend of:
Face-to-face appointments
Telephone consultations
Video consultations (when suitable)
If you have a preference, please let the Care Navigator know when booking. Some health issues will require a physical examination, and in those cases, a face-to-face appointment will be arranged.
Our eConsult service is available 24/7 via our website for non-urgent issues, such as:
Medical advice
Fit note requests
Medication reviews
Administrative queries
Youβll receive a response within 2 working days.
Routine appointments are available every day and can be booked up to 3 weeks in advance
You may request a specific GP or clinician, and we will do our best to accommodate this
Please avoid calling at 8am for non-urgent issues to help us prioritise urgent care
We offer a Rapid Access Clinic every weekday for patients with urgent medical problems.
These are typically face-to-face appointments. However, if a telephone or video consultation would be more suitable, please let the Care Navigator know β weβll do our best to accommodate you.
You can contact us in several ways:
Telephone β lines open at 8:00am (surgery doors open at 8:30am)
My Health Online β for repeat prescriptions and record access
Email β enquiries.W93046@wales.nhs.uk
eConsult β via our website, available 24/7
Our trained Care Navigators will ask a few short questions when you contact us. This helps ensure you are booked with the most appropriate clinician or service.
We appreciate your cooperation β this helps us manage demand fairly and safely.
In addition to our GPs, we have a skilled multidisciplinary team offering specialist care. This includes:
Advanced Paramedic Practitioner β available Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri
Clinical Pharmacist β available Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri
Diabetic Specialist Nurse

You may be offered an appointment with one of these clinicians depending on your symptoms or needs.
We may also refer or signpost you to trusted community services such as:

Social care services
These care pathways are agreed across NHS Wales and help ensure faster, appropriate care.
We understand the importance of building trusted relationships with your healthcare professionals.
Where possible:
We will book you with the same clinician for ongoing issues
You may request a preferred GP when booking a routine appointment
We review continuity as part of our wider service planning
If you miss three appointments without cancelling, you may be removed from the practice list.
Please always let us know if you canβt attend β this allows us to offer the appointment to another patient.
Standard GP appointments are 10 minutes, usually for one issue.
If you have more than one concern or feel you need a longer appointment, please let the Care Navigator know when booking.
A trained chaperone is available for any consultation.
You can request one when booking or at your appointment.
We aim to see patients within 30 minutes of their appointment time. If there is a delay, we will let you know as soon as possible.
